A Fun Day

Our letter this week was E. The kids got to review the sounds made by this letter. They are fascinating. Many are beginning to be able to look at the job chart, identify the first letter of the person's name, sound it out and because they are familiar with their classmates' names, "read" who has what job! Simply astounding to watch.

Since our letter was "E", we asked the kids to use 1" wood cubes and arrange them in the shape of our letter. They first got a copy of the letter to work with (built upon the printed letter) then they did it without the paper. All got it off the bat on the paper. A bit more challenging without. We will be doing more of this type of thing.

We had music with The Music Lady today. We sang about grandpa's glasses and about the turkey who tries to get lost before Thanksgiving. Quite catchy tunes.

We went to the art room and painted with paint daubers. We "painted" coffee filters then spritzed them with water. What will come of our coffee filter art? You will see next week.

It was a fun-filled day. Have a nice weekend everyone!
